Wooden portfolio handmade by violin maker

This beautiful portfolio print box was hand crafted by talented violin maker Florence Ford in her workshop in Berlin's Neukölln district. I wanted a box that would allow my photography to be presented in a flexible and eye-catching manner, but which would still be light enough for my agents to carry to meetings. Florence came up with a sandwich construction which reduced weight while retaining rigidity and durability.

The end design has a veneer of Canadian flame maple inlaid with a black wooden veneer for the logo, designed by the wonderfully-named Filthy Media. This is supported by a sandwich construction involving a layer of heavy-duty foam sandwiched between two layers of plywood and backed by a further layer of flame maple. Call my London agent Peter Bailey to get your hands on it!
